Saint Joseph the Worker home for the Mentally challenged/Epilepsy was formed in 2007 to help mentally challenged and epileptic children. it started off with 13 kids and the number can grow up to 80 kids. The institution seats on 53 acres and has a girls’ and boys’ dormitory, an administration block, classrooms, Gymnasium, Dispensary, Dining Room, Class rooms, store, Kitchen, Staff Quarters and a Sisters Convent. Thanks to the staff who include the administration, social workers, medical nurses, physiotherapists, teachers, caretakers, gardeners institution runs multiple projects to help make it sustainable. Some of the current projects include a Dairy project, Vegetable Garden, Water Project, Vocational training and a Biogas project.
